Ervan Cunanan is a Filipino-Canadian visual artist living and working in the Greater Toronto Area, in Ontario, Canada.

After a 20 year career as a designer/animator he is currently transitioning into a committed painting practice. This transition from digital to analog art stems from a desire to create with freedom, spontaneous expression and the beauty of chance. His oil paintings are defined by process: building up layers, re-iteration of forms and responding to each stage as it evolves.
